Glasgow faces a 'winter of discontent' following trade union fall out over equal pay

Up to 25,000 workers, which are all non-teaching staff, are facing ‘fire and rehire’ as the local authority pushes ahead with the new structure to replace a 2006 scheme which discriminated against mainly women workers.
